It’s a terrible time to be young. And it’s all the Baby Boomers’ fault. Spiralling debt, a ruined environment and a bankrupt political culture; this is the legacy of the richest generation that ever lived.
From free education to cheap houses to social security, our parents had it all, then took it away. Every baby in the UK is born owing £22,500. Students graduate owing another £20,000. Only hedge fund managers can expect to live the same life as their parents.
And it’s going to get worse. In 650 days time, the Boomer time bomb will go off. In Britain right now, there are four working people to support every pensioner. By the time all the Boomers retire it’ll be two to one. We, the debt-ridden minority will be working to support a glut of needy pensioners, who squandered the money they should have saved to support themselves.
