CALL TO ACTION!

fistWe can’t expect our parent’s generation to change character. We cannot remove Boomers from the company boardrooms. But we can remove the Boomer politicians from office. The government has to call a general election before June 2010. This is our opportunity to kick them out of power.

Come election day, we must sweep a new generation of leaders into power. Plain and simple, we must vote for candidates below the age of 46.

We are the generation that has to clear up their mess, and we might as well start now. There are three simple steps to making this a reality:

1. Demand that your chosen party de-selects Boomers from the ballot paper.

2. Find out who is standing in your constituency, and how old they are.

3. Vote for candidates under the age of 46 or over the age of 65.

This isn’t a pipe dream. There are 24 million people under the age of 45 eligible to vote in the UK. Only 27 million people voted in the last general election. Imagine if every young person voted for change on election day; we’d take control of our future overnight.

Make no mistake, a vote against the Boomers isn’t ageist; it’s a vote against a single generation. If we cannot vote for young people, we should vote for pensioners. Having lived in through the last major depression, pensioners, at the very least, understand the value of prudence and selflessness.
